A few years ago, a buddy started using the Holosun HS507C-X2 red dot and I was impressed. Years later, we both still use them. In this Holosun HS507C-X2 review we will take a look at the long-term durability, accuracy, and ease of use.
Table of Contents
What is the HOLOSUN HS507C-X2?
The Holosun HS507C-X2 is an open reflex optical sight designed for pistol applications machined with 7075 aircraft aluminum. It is a waterproof and parallax reducing optical sight. It also features an extraordinary battery life that can last up to 50,000 hrs backed up by a fail-safe solar panel.
The HS507C-X2 also uses Solar Failsafe™ technology and a high capacity lithium battery. Furthermore, it has a Shake Awake technology that turns the red dot off to save battery. It will only turn on automatically after lifting the pistol. It also has a Multi-reticle System on which you can toggle between a 2 MOA dot and a 32 MOA ring.
It has a Lock Mode that prevents unintentional button presses. Simultaneously, the optic is holstered and has a side access battery tray that can charge while attached to the firearm.
PROS
- Solar failsafe
- Multi-reticle system
- Shake awake technology
- Convenient battery tray
- Solar cell and dual power battery supply
CONS

Holosun HS507C-X2 Durability
Holosun HS507C-X2 takes pride in its tough construction. This optic is CNC machined with 7075 aircraft aluminum, no wonder it has been adopted by many military units and police forces worldwide. When we tested out this optic, we got to shoot many rounds and its durability seemed good.

Lens & Coating
Holosun lenses have multi-coating features. And what’s better with this sight is that, even if you have slight astigmatism, you will barely have trouble seeing the reticle and zeroing in on that center 2 MOA dot, like most LED optics typically gives a slight “starburst” when used.

It has 12 different brightness settings, including dim settings compatible with night-vision devices for night time use and a parallax-free with unlimited eye relief optical design.
Focal Point & Accuracy
Using a red dot sight, the speed of finding your target, and the accuracy of hitting that target is faster because it eliminates having to shift focus between multiple points to hit a target accurately. Having a single point of focus on a target, shooters can aim even with both eyes open. This Holosun HS507C-X2 can boost your speed and accuracy on the shooting range.

Holosun HS507C-X2 Warranty
Holosun has a Limited Lifetime Warranty that applies to the metal structure of all of its products. Unfortunately, this warranty does not apply to the optical and illumination systems covered by five years and three years of warranty. Its batteries are not covered under warranty, though.
Reticle Orientation
With Holosun HS507C-X2’s multiple reticle system, you can toggle between a 2 MOA dot and a 32 MOA ring, making it easier to lock in your targets even at a distance.
And if you consider yourself a beginner shooter, Red dot optics like the HS507C-X2 can be a huge benefit for you because placing your target is simpler and clearer than aligning and focusing typical iron sights.

will this fit on a sig p320 full isze
There is a SCS model that will fit the Sig P320. You will need a RMR plate for the 507C. The SCS is fully solar powered with a built in battery. The SCS does not have solar or shake awake. I have the SCS on my S&W and Glock. You can co-witness with the SCS. The SCS has multiple reticles.
When I got my P320 M17, the only dot availible with co-witness was the Romeo 1 Pro.
