Pricing

One of the important considerations in choosing red dot sights is price range. Expensive red dots aren’t necessarily the best. There are many low-priced iron sights that can get the job done just as well as a luxurious brand can.

FSR is a budget-friendly gear but can deliver impressive reliability and performance relative to many affordable and high-quality brands. Upon purchase, it comes with a rubber lens cover, Picatinny mount, and riser for absolute co-witness.

Windage and Elevation

Proper sight alignment is crucial to precision shooting. You need to make some adjustments so that the rounds will accurately hit the point of impact.

You have to be familiar with simple mathematical steps to calculate the total number of MOA clicks needed to adjust the elevation and windage.

Sightmark FSR adjusts at ½ MOA per click, with a total of 120 MOA for elevation and windage adjustment ranges.

Installation

The FSR and CSR red dot sights use an integrated Picatinny rail clamp and feature a removable riser block between the mounting rail area and the sight body.

Installing the Wolverine CSR or FSR red dot sight is easy. Loosen the mounting nut and place the sight on the upper receiver rail. Then tighten the mounting nut. You may leave the riser installed or remove it so the CSR/FSR will be closer to the bore axis.[1]

Zeroing

Zeroing a red dot can be done using the elevation and elevation turrets. The distance of your target is related to the number of clicks that you need to make to hit the bull’s eye. The steps for zeroing are quick and easy.

When we tried Wolverine CSR and FSR red dot sights at 25 yards, 50 yards, and 100 yards, it held zero perfectly. This ability to do this consistently and accurately after firing many rounds is nothing short of exceptional.

Image Clarity

The lenses of Wolverine red dot are clear and bright making images sharp and clear as well. However, there might be some slight distortion at the very extreme edges of the lenses but it won’t obstruct nor cause blurriness in the image. This gear has no issues with parallax.

The sight has an objective lens of 23mm diameter. It has 6 brightness settings with very faint low light and night-vision compatible modes. At setting 6, the red dot is incredibly bright.

Durability

Wolverine CSR and FSH are constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum and protected by a rubber coat for extra protection from scratches and damaging impacts.

The lenses are coated with an anti-reflective coating for a scratch-proof, waterproof, and fog-proof performance.

Wolverine red dot is applicable in all outdoor environments and it can survive extreme temperatures (-22 to 122 degrees F) and weather conditions. It is water-submersible up to 3 feet.

  1. Great review. Thought it was made in the USA based on a 2018 Gunweek post and felt pretty good about buying one until I got mine – made in china! Also checked amazon ratings and found no negatives 2 weeks ago with thousands of reviews – now far less ratings with some negs. Wishful thinking I guess – don’t understand the change. Anyway, I’ll give it a try. Hopefully if it fails it will do it soon.
