A Closer Look At The Top Features
Quality
Holosun red dots are of exceptional quality with remarkable ergonomics. You can get impressive performance and reliability from this optic. The housing material is made of aluminum, while a titanium hood protects the lens. It’s waterproof at a depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes. It’s treated with MAO (Micro Arc Oxidation) surface, making this sight more resistant to corrosion, impact, and extreme heat [1].

Design
Holosun 510C features a fixed 1x magnification. It’s a reflex sight with circle dot reticles and not a holographic sight.
It weighs 4.94 oz and measures 3.3’’x1.68’’x1.78’’. The dimension of the objective lens is 32mmx24mm, which allows for a large sight window.
Reticle & Clarity
Our review shows that this red dot sight has superb optics quality. It features three reticle selections: 2MOA dot, 65MOA ring, and 65MOA ring with 2MOA dot reticle inside. The 65MOA is more suitable for home defense and close-range engagements. The 2 MOA is more helpful for mid to long-range shooting applications. The same LED projects to all three reticles, so no re-zeroing is needed. If you would like a green reticle, there’s the HE510C-GR model, which is part of Holosun’s elite series.
Mounting Options
The optic comes with an integrated quick detach (QD) mount system to allow easy and fast mounting on any standard Picatinny or Weaver rails. You need not use any tools when you mount, move, or detach the optic. 510C can be mounted on your AR 15 along with back-up iron sights to ensure a continuous shooting experience.

Battery Life
One of the best features of Holosun is a dual power source. Depending on ambient light conditions, shooters can switch to battery power or solar power. CR2032 battery is operational up to 50,000 hours in setting 6 and 20,000 hours in the maximum setting. The battery tray is on the side of the optic, so you don’t need to remove the optic when you change the battery.
The Shake Awake of 510C helps extend its battery life. You can adjust the optic to go to sleep mode after 10 minutes or even up to 12 hours of no movement. When it senses motion, it will just automatically turn on.
