Originally, yes. And now, yes. At some point, though, the SP 2009 and SP 2340 recoil springs could be distinguished by color. That for the SP 2009 (9mm) was white, and that for the SP 2340 (.40 Auto and .357 Sig) was blue. The blue recoil spring is apparently rated at 22lbs. The rating for the white recoil spring is apparently 18lbs. Now, all Sig Pro SP 2009s and SP 2340s use the blue (22lb) recoil spring.
