At least for the SP 2009s and SP 2340s sold in the US, the frame and two grip inserts were made in Switzerland by Sig, the slide and barrel are made in the US by Sig-Sauer, and the magazines are made in Italy by Mec-Gar.
For the first SP 2022s sold in the US, the frame and two grip inserts were made in Germany, and the slide and barrel were still made in the US by Sig-Sauer. However, current production SP 2022s are 100% German-made, bear the usual proofmarks and a two-letter datecode, include the black case that is used for the European market, the slide includes the loaded chamber indicator, and come with an honest-to-goodness test target.
