One thing to keep in mind when ordering a "Dealer Special" is that they are not bound by the current limit of five chargeable options. In other words, you are allowed to specify more than five chargeable options.
Lastly, the "Dealer Specials" include special sheaths. At a minumum, a special stamp is used to mark the sheath. The Bowles Skinner sheath is two-tone with no hone pocket. The Nordic Special sheath has no hone pocket. The Stanaback Special sheath includes a tube pouch with a sharpening steel. And, some sheaths are autographed by the authorized RMK dealer, either as standard practice or when requested.
The "Dealer Special" sheaths are marked as follows:
- A.G. Russell Special: On the back of the sheath; "A.G. Russell" above the RMK stamp, and "SPECIAL" below.
- Bowles Skinner: On the front of the sheath, at the toe; "RICK BOWLES" above the RMK stamp, and "SPECIAL" below.
- Buxton Fighter: On the back of the sheath; "BUXTON" above the RMK stamp, and "FIGHTER" below; there may also be a "C" stamped above the RMK logo that refers to a curved blade.
- Nordic Special: On the back of the sheath; "NORDIC KNIVES" above the RMK stamp, and "SPECIAL" below; there may also be a "C" stamped above the RMK logo that refers to a curved blade.
- Sasquatch: On the back of the sheath; no markings except for "8C" or "11C" above and separate from the RMK stamp, for the Small and Large, respectively (the numbers refer to the blade length, and the "C" refers to a curved blade).
- Stanaback Special: On the back of the sheath; "CAPT. CHRIS" above the RMK stamp, and "STANABACK" below.
- Tom Clinton Special: On the back of the sheath; "TOM CLINTON" above the RMK stamp, and "SPECIAL" below.
